Any personal information that you may share with us at FairTribe (and with the business partners that help this site function or assist us in fulfilling your order) via email, phone or mail is kept absolutely private. Neither your name nor anything about you is sold or shared with any other company or agency.

We do, of course, ask you for certain kinds of personal information in order to provide the services you request. And to place an order on our site, use most shopping tools, and access personalized services, you must have cookies enabled. Security

The FairTribe online store uses the latest and most secure methods available to protect your personal and credit card information.Our technology will encrypt orders to provide increased security for customer payments and uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) 256 bit encryption for all credit card information. We also hold a secure key, or digital certificate from GeoTrust. This key ensures that we are who we say we are and that any data exchanged online is protected from theft and tampering.

 

Consumer protection laws protect you against any unauthorized use of your credit card. Contact your issuing bank immediately if you suspect any illegal use of your card.

 

Fairtribe will never request personal information from customers via e-mail, including user name/password, credit card or bank information. Please note that e-mail is not encrypted and is not considered a secure means of transmitting personal information.

 

If you have received or entered personal information in response to a suspicious e-mail, pop-up menu or phony website claiming to be affiliated with FairTribe, please call us at 831.515.5646 immediately.

 

Types of personal information we may gather

  • Purchases

When you place an order, you give us your name, address, phone number or e-mail address plus credit card information. If you create a Personal Shopping Account with us, so that you may place orders more conveniently, you authorize us to store your name and shipping address(es).

  • E-mail newsletters

We need your e-mail address. It will never be shared with or sold to anyone. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time.

  • Online services

We offer the service of storing your personal information by creating a personal account. The information is not used for any other purpose.  We do not store your credit card information.

Cookies

“Cookies” are small data files that your Web browser reads and stores on your hard drive when you connect with our Web site. Their primary function is to help us remember you – and specifically, the computer and Web browser you’re using – by collecting non-personally identifiable information (such as your IP address and browser type). This allows us to provide you with a better, more relevant shopping experience.

How we use cookies

We use cookies to help process your order through our Web site and to provide you with a personalized shopping experience. To place an order and complete your transaction on landsend.com, you must have cookies enabled on your Web browser. (If you don’t want to enable cookies but would like to place an order, please call us toll free at 1-831-515-5646.) You must also have cookies turned on in order to create a personal account on fairtribe.com and to access a personal account. Most all of our personalized services and shopping tools also require that you enable cookies to experience their full functionality.

Cookies also help us:

  • determine which features and tools you use, and which pages you visit on fairtribe.com
  • remember which items you’ve placed in your shopping bag
  • enable you to checkout faster if you’ve created an account with us

We do not use cookies to glean any personal information about you or track your movements on the Internet outside of those pages you visit on fairtribe.com. If you have any concerns about leaving cookies on your computer for extended periods, you can delete them using your browser preferences or privacy menus.

Our Business Partners

In order to ship and track merchandise, we make your name and address available to such companies as United Parcel Service, Federal Express and the U.S. Postal Service.

If you would like to be removed from our Join the Tribe newsletter, please contact us via e-mail at info@fairtribe.com. Please include your name and mailing address in the message.
